• MISSION

To increase road safety awareness and decrease traffic incidents.

• SOLUTION

In 2006 Tengizchevroil (TCO) installed BTS’ in-vehicle monitoring system in their fleet of 600. Each vehicle was monitored for over-speeding, harsh braking, acceleration, use of seatbelts and headlights. Internal sensors monitored these areas and a warning signal was triggered if the driver exceeded any of the pre-set limits.

• RESULT

TCO saw an immediate increase in road safety awareness along with a significant decrease in traffic incidents. In 2008, the number of annual road incidents suffered by the company had dropped by more than 69 per cent, along with a decrease in fuel expenditures derived from better driving practices.
